Accessibility and Special Needs
Support for Children, Students and Adults with Disabilities
We offer environments and support specifically designed to meet the unique needs of individuals with disabilities.
Everyone should have the opportunity to experience worship and community. Every Sunday, we offer accommodations and support for individuals with special needs across our ministry environments.
Depending on your needs, support may include sign language interpretation, sensory headphones, dedicated volunteers, and specialized environments designed to provide a welcoming and engaging experience for everyone.
Waumba Land (6 Weeks–Pre-K)
Waumba Land is our environment for preschool children. Children with special needs are welcome to join in Waumba Land rooms with their peers.
We offer buddies for all kids who would benefit at both the 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. services. We would love to help you plan your visit.
UpStreet (K–5th Grade)
UpStreet is our environment for children in grades kindergarten–5th grade. One-on-one buddies are offered to create an inclusive environment for your child in our UpStreet small groups.
We also offer a unique classroom environment for students who would benefit from a separate classroom space. Our Special Needs environment is located in Room C200 at 11:00 a.m. Let us help you plan a first visit.
Transit (6th–8th Grade)
Transit is our environment for middle school students. Our goal is to help provide the best experience for your middle school student through community in small group. If you would like to get your student involved, please email us and a staff member will reach out about getting your student plugged in.
InsideOut (9th–12th Grade)
InsideOut is our environment for high school students. Our goal is to help provide the best experience for your high school student through community in small group. Adults
Buckhead Church offers live ASL interpretation during the 11:00 a.m. service to help make worship accessible for the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community. The interpreter is located on the left-center side of the main auditorium, and no reservation is required. If this support would be helpful to you or someone in your family, we invite you to join us in this seating area.
We offer wheelchair-accessible seating throughout the auditorium, along with companion seating for family members, friends, or caregivers. If you need assistance finding a seat, our Guest Services team would be happy to help.
For more information about our church, and for help in planning your visit please contact us. We would love to answer any questions you may have before you arrive.
